Closed & open cell foam for walls, cellars & units
Where a building has no cavity, an awkward shape or a metal roof sheet that cannot be boarded, sprayed and injected foam does what boards and rolls cannot: it bonds to the structure, seals every gap and stops draughts and condensation in one pass.
Closed cell foam is rigid and vapour-tight — it adds strength to a corrugated commercial roof sheet, stabilises loose fixings and takes moisture out of the equation, which is why it suits industrial units, workshops, cellars and metal or asbestos-cement roofs. Open cell foam is soft and low density and is the better acoustic material, so we use it inside walls and partitions where noise, not just heat, is the problem.
To be clear: we do not spray foam into domestic lofts or house roofs. Loft and roof insulation is done with mineral wool, multifoil or rigid board systems that lenders, surveyors and building control accept without question. Foam is a commercial and specialist material here, and that is where we keep it.
